If my students are anything like me... they didn't do much! My summer was 2 parts rejuvenation and 1 part renovation. Red Clay School District students, in collaboration with the local community, built a record-breaking LEGO tower this summer. Delaware Online reported that "It’s made out of more than 500,000 of the small plastic bricks. It weighs almost a ton. And it’s exactly 112 feet, 11 ¾inches tall."
From what I understand, students worked with engineers, architects, contractors, and their school district in order to fund-raise, design and build this tower. What a learning experience this would be!
Check out these videos (the first is the best, but really fuzzy, the second gives a quick summary of the project)
